The parish of Holy Trinity Redhill takes the safeguarding and care of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Further information about this can be found on our Safeguarding page.
"BUILD YOUR CHURCH; CHANGE OUR LIVES"
A Vision for any church must have Jesus Christ as its focus. If we get our vision of Jesus right then we’ll reflect His priorities for His church, and not get distracted by the many other “good things” that a church might do.
With that in mind, the past eighteen months have seen Holy Trinity members consulting, praying, studying God’s word and seeking His guidance. Our main question has been “What might Holy Trinity look like in 2020?”
The Vision Team, Staff Team and PCC have felt the Lord’s hand on us as we have gone through this process and we are excited about what this Vision presents us with for the next five years of our church life.
"BUILD YOUR CHURCH; CHANGE OUR LIVES"
A Vision Prayer recognises that we are entirely dependent on the Lord to do anything of lasting value in His church. In this prayer we are:
-
Praying for the Lord to build His church in number and in spiritual strength
-
Bringing ourselves to be changed inwardly by the work of His Word and Holy Spirit.
There are also three particular areas of focus for us as we commit ourselves to this Vision Prayer:
We pray that we will be more CONFIDENT in faith, more COMMITTED in love and more COMPELLED to share our hope in Christ.
CONFIDENT
IN OUR FAITH
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Colossians 2 v 6-7
Therefore by 2020 we will have:
-
A clear pathway from welcome to belonging.
-
Most people in small groups bringing the Bible and our daily lives together.
-
A deeper understanding of the fullness of life that Jesus offers.
COMMITTED
TO ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE
“A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
John 13 v 34
Therefore by 2020 we will have:
-
Co-ordinated pastoral care structures to serve all our members.
-
A culture of teamwork (rather than just rotas) across every area of church life.
-
Healthy finances that give us the freedom to carry out God’s mission with abundance.
COMPELLED
TO SHARE OUR HOPE IN CHRIST
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all…”
2 Corinthians 5 v 14
Therefore by 2020 we will be:
-
Better prepared to share our faith in Christ beyond our walls.
-
Making a clear contribution to the life of our town.
-
Risk-takers for the gospel to see people coming to a living faith in Christ.
