Hiring policy
Hiring a room at Holy Trinity Church Centre
Holy Trinity is a local parish church. In keeping with our aim to serve our local community, we offer a number of rooms for hire to individuals or organisations when they are not in use for church related activities. There is a large hall suitable for larger meetings or sports use, and three rooms of different sizes with facilities for making tea and coffee.
We want to do all we can to make your event a success but just occasionally we have to refuse a booking if we feel it is not compatible with our Christian ethos or charitable status, and we reserve the right to do so.
Before requesting a booking you will need to know:

Rooms may be booked by individuals or organisations operating in ways that are compatible with Holy Trinity’s aims and its charitable status.

Training courses and conferences: Organisations need to provide evidence of third party insurance cover.

Rooms may be hired for multi-party political debates, but, as we need to maintain political neutrality, individual political parties may only hire the Church Centre for private meetings and on the understanding that no images of the church are used in publicity, and church details are only available to those personally invited to the meeting.

Use of the Centre for wedding receptions and adult celebrations is restricted to church members or their friends.

Parties: Our Centre, with the use of the gardens, makes an attractive venue for birthday parties for children of 10 years old and under, but we need to know that there will be more children than adults! We are sorry but we do not take bookings for older children’s parties.

Requests for room hire that fall outside these categories will need to be referred to the PCC Management Committee (who meet monthly).

Smoking and gambling are not permitted within the Church premises.

Alcohol can only be consumed with the prior approval of the PCC Management Committee.

A booking form needs to be completed and signed to say that you agree to our terms and conditions. On receipt of this form we will confirm your booking.

Parties require payment in advance. For other bookings, payment is by invoice at the end of the month.
