Sundays

We warmly welcome you to our services on Sunday. Do come and pay us a visit.
In all our services we emphasise down to earth bible teaching that connects with every day life.

Our services at 9.15, 11, & 4pm have activity groups for children and teenagers and a creche for very young children.

Everyone starts together in church to pray and to sing and then after about 15 minutes the youngsters go off for their own activties. We all meet up together again for refreshments after the service.

Each of the services has its own particular style. Choose the one that suits you best:

Sunday@915
A contemporary style service. Mainly modern worship songs with some of the best hymns from the past led by our 9.15 worship band.

Sunday@11

A more traditional style. A mixture of well-known hymns and newer songs led by the choir, the organ and the piano.

Sunday@4

Just like the 9.15 service but even more informal, and you get to have a lie in and tea together afterwards. Particularly appreciated by families whose kids play Sunday morning sport.

Sunday@7

Our 7pm band leads the music. There is an emphasis on solid bible teaching related to everyday life and regular homing in spot which may focus on a contemporary issue, a testimony, a point of doctrine or a piece of missionary news. Coffee & doughnuts and plenty of time to chat concludes the evening.

On the first Sunday of each month there will be a special focus on contemporary social, ethical, & theological issues in Spectrum and on the third Sunday we have Holy Communion.

Midweek at Holy Trinity

Growth groups are groups of 10-12 people that meet fortnightly in homes around the parish for fellowship, learning, prayer and action.

In a larger church, small groups provide a good way of getting to know one another.

Growth Groups meet on Monday, Friday & Saturday mornings and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday evenings.

New members are always welcome. To join a growth group please contact the church office.

Rendezvous is church on Wednesday – a midweek service designed for those unable to worship on Sunday or those who just appreciate the chance of a quiet oasis in the middle of the week.

Rendezvous takes place in the church every Wednesday at 10am. The service lasts about 45 minutes and includes well-known hymns, prayers, and a message from the Bible.

Afterwards there is an opportunity to meet others for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee in the church lounge.

Sundays FAQS

How will I know what to do?

Every thing you need for the service, including the words of all the hymns and songs, will be on the service sheet you are given when you arrive.

What should I wear?
Come in whatever clothes you feel comfortable wearing. Most of our congregation dress fairly casually on Sundays but there are no hard and fast rules.

What about disability access?
There is level access into the church building and into the church centre. To reserve disabled parking please contact the church office.

For hearing aid users there is a hearing loop. Large print orders of service are available for those who need them.

Where can I park?
You can park in London Rd or Carlton Rd. Both roads get fairly busy with worshippers cars so do give yourself adequate time to find a parking space. Disabled people, those with mobility problems, and families with children under two years old, are invited to use the church car park.

What about the children?
We welcome children to our 9.15am, 11am, & 4pmservices. See our kids page for full details of children's activities on Sunday.

Safeguarding: All our volunteers and leaders have passed Criminal Record Bureau checks and follow our safeguarding policies
