I want my child to go to a church school

Church schools are increasingly popular with parents. If you would like your child to go to a church school you will need to read the admission requirements of the school carefully.

Often schools expect children and their parents to be regular members of a local church and for the local vicar to sign a form to indicate that this is the case. In any case, participation in the life of the church on Sundays is the natural complement to participation in life of a Christian school during the week.

You can find full details of children’s and youth activities at Holy Trinity on our children’s and youth pages.  New children and their families are always most welcome.

In the case of St Bede’s School, applicants to the school who are seeking the endorsement of Holy Trinity Church are asked to come for a brief interview at the church. Please contact the church office (01737 766604) to find the date of the next round of interviews.

I want to get my banns read

Providing either you or your partner lives in the parish we can read your banns of marriage at Holy Trinity. Please telephone the church office on 01737 766604 and ask for a banns application or, alternatively, email us.

We will let you know the date your banns are to be read so that you can come to church to hear them. When your banns have been read three times we will send you a certificate which you must present to the vicar who is conducting your wedding.

If you are getting married at Holy Trinity your banns will be read here automatically but if one of you is resident in another parish or on the electoral roll of another parish  you will need to arrange to have your banns read in that parish (or parishes), too.

I want to get baptised myself

More and more people these days are being baptised as adults. At a baptism you have to make important promises about your faith. We have a number of courses that can help you think through these issues before you are baptised. Please phone the church office on 01737 766604 or email us to find out more.

I would like to join the church

Welcome! We aim to be a friendly, welcoming church and we are always delighted to see new people. Do feel free to come to any service.

For a first visit we would particularly recommend the 9.15am or 11am service on Sunday morning. See our Sundays at Holy Trinity page for further details.

I’d like to come to church but…

·                                                    I don’t think I would fit it

·                                                    I wouldn’t know what to do

·                                                    I wouldn’t know anyone

·                                                    I’m housebound

·                                                    I’m not a Christian

·                                                    My children might make a noise and embarrass me

I don’t think I would fit it

The church is God’s family and he welcomes everyone. You would be surprised at just how many different types of people worship at Holy Trinity. We aim to be a warm welcoming crowd and we’re sure you would fit in no time.

I wouldn’t know what to do

It always feels strange coming to a new church for the first time but at Holy Trinity we try to make that big step as easy as possible.

We have straightforward services with little fuss or ceremony and our service leaders take care to guide the congregation through the service.

Feel free to come along and be yourself and to join in just as little or as much as you want.

I wouldn’t know anyone

In actual fact you might very well bump into someone you know – we are a large and lively family drawn from all over Redhill and the surrounding area – but even if you don’t, we hope you will quickly make friends.

I’m housebound

If you can’t get to church, we can come to you.

We can provide you with tapes of services at Holy Trinity, or we can visit you to pray with you and read the bible to you, or we can bring you Holy Communion.

Please contact us or ask a friend or relative to do so. We would be only too pleased to help. You can email us or phone (01737) 766604on a weekday morning

I’m not a Christian

We are all at different stages on our spiritual journey through life. You don’t have to be a committed Christian to come to church. We welcome people whatever stage on their spiritual journey they are.

My children might make a noise and embarrass me

We do genuinely welcome families with children at Holy Trinity. We also recognise that children do make a noise and we don’t mind! Please don’t worry about this at all.

On a Sunday morning we have a crèche plus a wide range of groups for children aged 3-17. Do come along and try us out. See our Sundays at Holy Trinity page for more details.
